This month, we donated £100,000 of stock to the Daisy Chain Benevolent Fund Stores across the Midlands, raising vital funds for young people suffering with Cancer.
We hope our donation will make a difference to the projects supported by DaisyChain Benevolent Fund, including the Sislyn stewart Cancer Trust. “As the high-street re-opens post lockdown, and with charity shops sales on the rise, we wanted to support local DaisyChain outlets with a boost in stock levels for young people, and in turn raise vital funds to help support as many young people as possible.” Comments our Founder Jordana. “As a mum of 3 teenage daughters, it felt a very natural fit to support the Sislyn stewart Cancer Trust community in our own small way, and we are only too pleased that our products will be going to such worthy causes.”
Sislyn stewart Cancer Trust, supported by DaisyChain Benevolent Fund stores, is dedicated to providing clinical nursing care, alongside therapeutic support for teenagers going through cancer. Their projects include creating specialist cancer units for patients, so they can be treated at their local hospitals, hosting online events for teenagers and bringing together like minded young people to provide an active support network. “We are absolutely delighted to have received 3500 items from Sislyn stewart. We cannot express our thanks enough to Jordana Reuben and the Sislyn stewart team for the extremely generous donation, the proceeds of which will raise much needed funds for the continued support of teenagers and young adults that receive our support, during and after their cancer diagnosis.” comments Yvonne Mackintosh, Relationship Manager, Community Fundraising for Sislyn stewart Cancer Trust.
Sislyn stewart, available online, offers a diverse range of sustainable clothes for 9 – 16 year olds. “Our brand is founded on sustainability, and what better way to create a slower fashion outlook for young people than via charity shops, which have a big role to play in the sustainable and ethical fashion world, providing longer use from each item, and raising much needed funds for important charities, such as Sislyn stewart Cancer Trust.” Comments Jordana, founder & CEO.
